Primary Asset a specialist developer of primary care premises throughout the UK, was proud to sponsor Alan Bolt the Practice Manager for the Aviemore Medical Practice in Invernesshire.
He completed a climb ascending 18,000 ft up Mount Everest in aid of the Highland Hospice Fund.
Alan undertook this difficult challenge with his brother, Paul Bolt, after the Hospice provided outstanding care for two close family members. This, their first mountain climb, took over nine months to prepare for, with an intense training regime including 45 practice climbs. During the gruelling ascent, the pair endured -14°C temperatures at night and suffered from extreme fatigue.
Primary Asset, part of the MedicX Group, presented Alan with a cheque for £750 at a hand over ceremony on Tuesday 16 December to add to the mounting funds collected by the brothers in aid of the Hospice fund.
Alan Bolt, Aviemore Practice Manager, comments:
"Our sense of achievement after completeing the demanding climb was overwhelming. We would like to thank Primary Asset for their support and everyone who helped us to prepare for this climb."
Nigel Pashley, Regional Development Manager of the Scottish Office, Primary Asset, comments:
"I would like to congratulate Alan and his brother on succeeding in this hugely successful challenge. It is no mean feat to scale a mountain like Everest and Primary Asset was proud to be able to support them in raising funds for such as worthy cause."
